Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Pressure Tank

TES Pressure Tank

Introduction

Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Pressure Tanks are ASME-certified utility vessels designed to store thermal energy for HVAC, industrial, and utility applications. They enable load shifting, peak shaving, and energy optimization, improving overall energy efficiency and reducing operational costs.

At NORDSTONE., TES tanks are engineered with advanced thermal performance, robust mechanical design, and certification under ASME Section VIII Div.1, PED, NB, ensuring long-term reliability and superior performance.

What is a TES Pressure Tank?

A TES tank stores hot or chilled water, or phase-change media, under pressurized conditions. The stored thermal energy is released during high-demand periods to reduce energy consumption and improve system efficiency.

  • Cylindrical or spherical pressure vessel
  • Inlet/outlet nozzles for thermal media circulation
  • Internal baffles or coil heat exchangers
  • Pressure relief & air vent connections
  • Drain port for maintenance
  • Optional insulated exterior for minimal heat loss
